SUARRBL BETWEEN WOMEN [bt telegraph—own correspondent J KA'IKOHE, Friday As the result of what was described backyard squabble, which took Place at Korikeri between two neighbourn, Matilda Mona Kpiha appeared in the Kaikohe Polic-3 Court before Messrs. T. Guorin and J. J. •pedggno'l, J.P.'s. charged with assaultin? Mrs. Ifoss Watts For defendant Mr. W. C. Wylie entered a plea of guilty. Constable I). Hubert. 1 on said defendant and complainant lived near each other, but there had been ill-feeling for some time. As the result of her daughter arriving home crying Mrs. Watts fiiatle inquiries and spoke to defendant about the matter. After an exchange ®f words defendant struck Mrs. Watts, fell to the ground, the injuries requiring medical attention. The Bench said that people must »ot take tho law into liheir own hands. There was not the slightest doubt that there was cause for provocation. Defendant was convicted and ordered to pay medical expenses, amounting to and to come up foi sentence within 12 months' if called upon.
