Heane j and Herrod, the president and the ! j secretary respectively of the Fruit- I j growers' Federation of New South i I Wales, and by Mr. Macdermott, chair- j ■ man of the fruit section of the Sydney j Chamber of Commerce. They have been giving evidence at j the inquiry into the marketing of New Zealand and imported fruit and vege- | tables. In an interview to-day they stressed the benefits that would accrue ; both to New South Wales and New I Zealand if some relaxation could be I secured of the present restrictions on j the importation of fruit from New j South Wales.
