REGATTA AT MERCER Subject to its not clashing with the New Zealand championships the Mercer regatta will be held on February 13. This decision was made at last evening's meeting of the. executive of the Auckland Rowing Association. It was also decided to hold the North Shore regalta on November 28 to coincide with the jubilee of the North Shore Borough. HAMILTON CLUB'S YEAR [I'ROM OUR OWN CORRKSrONDKNT] HAMILTON, Thursday A strong financial position was disclosed at the annual meeting last evening of the Hamilton Rowintr Club. The president, Mr. A. M. Bisley, presided. The annual report stated that the total receipts from winnings amounted to over £ lO.'i, as against,, which entry fees, freight and travelling expenses amounted to over £7O. Mr. Bisley said that a new eight-oar boat must be purchased, and (he club was striving to augment a fund that had been established for that purpose. A sum had also been set aside for the erection of a new boathouse. Application had been made to secure the New Zealand championship meeting for Hamilton this year. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr. Bisley pointed out that the next Olympic Games were to be held at Tokio, in 1040. and it was the aim of the Hamilton Club to be represented there by a crew, as it was represented at Los Angeles four years ago. Now was the .time to begin preparing for the event. Officers for the coming season were elected as follows:—Patron. Mr. C. IT. Holloway; president, .Mr. A. M. Bisley; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Whitton, W. Canri, I). Hay and A. E. Sand ford; club captain, Mr. J. Flynn; vicecaptain, Mr. G. M. Taylor; joint secretaries, Messrs. T. Caskey and J. Cussae.k; joint treasurers, Messrs. T. Hewlett and N. Delaney; hon. solicitor, Mr. E. F. Clayton-Greene; hon. auditor, Mr. W. H. Allen; executive committee, Messrs. Holmes, E. L. Watkins. B. Sandos, W. V. St. George, K". V. Halliday, A. Paterson, J. Clough, J. Stuart.
