DIRECTOR AT HOSPITAL
Sir, —The decision of the Auckland Hospital Board to appoint a director is one that will commend itself to all who have any knowledge of, or interest in, the hospital. Ihe growth of this institution and the soaring costs have greatly concerned contributing bodies and any step that will make lor more efficient control will be gladlv welcomed. It is interesting to note bv the voting that apparently some of the old members desired that matters should continue as in the past. The new chairman is to be commended on taking a strong attitude in bringing matters to a head. Efkiciency.
