RUGBY MATCH PROCEEDS

AUSTRALIANS AND MAORIS TOTAL RECEIPTS OF £645 [by telegraph OWN correspondent] PALMERSTON NORTH, Thursday A handsome profit was made by the Manawatu Rugby Union from the Aus-tralia-Maori Rugby football match played at Palmerston North on September 23.

At a meeting of the union the secretary, Mr. J. H. White, reported that the total receipts from the match amounted to £645 9s lOd. When the accounts were completed, he anticipated that the union's share would be nearly £l2O, while the Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association would receive about £64. Members expressed satisfaction with the report.
