CHINESE CHARGED
ALLEGED GAMiN-S HOUSE Two Chinese, Wong Chong, aged 40, and Ah Chang, aged 36, appeared in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. F. K. Hunt', S.M. Chonp was charged that, the ocpupier of premises at 184 Hobson Street, City, he used them as a common gaming house. He was also charged with being found in possession °f prepared opium. Chang, it was alleged, assisted in the management of the house/ The accused were remanded on bail for a week. Three men found on the premises each fined £l. They were John Band, aged 58. labou-er; Dennis Donovan, aged 61, hotel ('.ortcr; Holt Paton/ aged 41, labourer.
