A FACE CLEANSER
A cleansing and refreshing face wash which is also salutary for the skin can bo made by any woman at home in the following way:—Pour about half a pint of rosewater upon a tablespoonful of the finest toilet oatmeal and leave this to stand, shaking it occasionally, for 24 hours. Then add to it a teaspoonful of witch-hazel, shaking once more. When the oatmeal has settled to the bottom of tho bottle again the lotion is ready for use. It should not, however, be shaken again when applied, at least not moro than is necessary when pouring a littlo of tho almost clear liquid on to a wad of cotton wool, so as to apply it to the skin, After use dab dry with a clean handkerchief or a face tissue. It cools, nourishes and cleans at tho samo time, and is excellent for using to remove make-up and before applying cream and powder. Even without the use of vanishing cream powder will adhere to it. It can be used either thus or as a last-thing-at-night treatment for those who do not caro for heavy creams, and it is particularly suited to dry, fine skins that nro easily irritated.
