CHEESEMAN MEMORIAL

CHILDREN'S COMPETITION POEMS AND DRAWINGS Following are the names of the •winners in the Cheeseman Memorial Prize competition for secondary school children, conducted in connection with the spring show of native flowers, held at the Auckland War Memorial Museum during the few days. The nature poem section was judged by Mr. J. W. Shaw, and the section for drawings of native fauna and flora by Messrs. G. Archey, R. A. Falla aud A. W. B. Powell.

Cassie (Auckland Grammar School). Section B, Nature Poems.—Barbara Johns (Auckland Girls' Grammar School), 1; Margaret Griffin (Epsom Girls' Grammar School), 2; Pamela V Kelliher (Sacred Heart Convent, Itemuera), 3; special mention, Joan Bosworth and Maire Buckley (Sacred Heart Convent, Remuera), Audrey Frain (Epsom Girls' Grammar School), Allan Mackie (Takapuna Grammar School).
