NEW LYNN AFFAIRS
Indignation at what was termed the high-handed action of the New Lynn Borough Council in issuing official notices to "compel" somo ratepayers to remove gorso "to the centre of the road" was expressed at a meeting of the New Lynn, Ratepayers' Association on Tuesday. The meeting also protested at the council's action in going into committee when representatives of the Ratepayers' Association were present, especially when important matters relating to 'borough affairs were under discussion. The question of amalgamation with Auckland City was discussed, but no action was taken. i
