DIAMOND JUBILEE
NGARUAWAHIA CHURCH [from our, own conn esfondknt] NGARUAWAIIIA, Wednesday The diamond jubilee of Knox Presbyterian Church, Ngaruaivahia, which was founded in 1876, will he celebrated on Sunday. An effort will be made during the celebrationsi to assist in raising £loo' for the renovation of the church property. The church began to function in 3870, but the parish was not established until 1876. For the first six years services were held in a building belonging to the military authorities. When the parish was formally established a church was built on a section donated for the purpose and the Rev. Neil conducted the first services. During the ministry of Mr. Thomson the present church building was fihiftcd from Karangahake and dedicated on March 11, 191! I, by the Hon. F. G. W. Aitken and the Rev, Roseveare. The preacher on Sunday morning will be the Rev. T. H. Roseveare, Moderator-Designate, and in the evening the llev. R. R. Grant Sutherland.
