WAITAKERE ROADS

Sir, —Should a slip occur on the new Waitakere scenic drive when completed 1 wonder if it will be allowed to remain—completely blocking the road for over six weeks, as is the case at Park Road, Titirangi. I am told the slip is being left until the surrounding ground consolidates. As it has obviously failed to consolidate during the time New Zealand has been in existence it is hardly likely to do so in the near future. + Weta.
