TRIBUTE TO CONSTABLE
Members of the Auckland detective staff gathered at the central poli<« station yesterday to present a dinner set to Constable Luke Spellman, of Point Chevalier, who retired from the force recently. Inspector R. Ward, who made the presentation, spoke of the esteem in which Constable Spellman was regarded by the detective division, and said they hoped he would enjoy many years of good health. Senior-Detective S. Hall, DetectiveSergeant A. B. Moiklejohri and Deteotive T. Sneddon also spoke. • *
