VISIT TO AUSTRALIA After spending a fortnight in Sydnej conferring with officials of the Watei Board and inspecting methods of restoring old and encrusted street mains, Ml'.* A. D. Mead, waterworks engineer to the Auckland City Council, returned bj the Niagara from Sydney yesterday.Mr, Mead is to report the results of b* inquiries to the council in the ne|J future. He said yesterday that some perimental work in the treatment <tl old mains had been carried out in Auckland, but the methods employed in Australia were much more advanced.
