FIRE IN PARIS
FAMOUS OPERA HOUSE DAMAGE TO THE STAGE (Received September 14, 1.15 a.m.) PARIS, Sept. 38 The famous Paris Opera House had a narrow escape from destruction by a firo which broke out early this morning. Apparently the outbreak was due to a short circuit. Nine brigades succeeded in quelling the flames after three hours' work. The stage was damaged by flames and water but the auditorium was not damaged.
