CEYLON RAILWAYS
COMMISSION OF INQUIRY FINANCES AND POLICY (Received September 13, 5 5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 12 At the request of the Ceylon Government, the Colonial Secretary, Mr. W. Ormsby Gore, has appointed a commission under the chairmanship of Brigadier-General F. D. Hammond to inquire into and report upon the financial position and the future policy of the Ceylon Government railway. The commission will sail for Ceylon from Marseilles on September 18.
