ATHENIAN SOCIETY

A social evening held by the Athenian Society in the Amateur Operatic Hall on Saturday night was a very bright and amusing occasion. The entertainment was entitled A Night in Aberdeen," and a. series of scenes embodying Scottish humour was greatly enjoyed. The hall presented a very colourful scene, as everyone-pre-sent wore a bright tartan cap, and many of those taking part in the programme wore kilts. Assisting with the entertainment were:—Miss Phyllis Gribbin and Miss Lillian Kennedy (songs), Mr. Charles Prime' (humorous songs), Miss Jean Brown ('cello solo), Mr. Knight (humour).
