ATHENIAN SOCIETY
A social evening held by the Athenian Society in the Amateur Operatic Hall on Saturday night was a very bright and amusing occasion. The entertainment was entitled A Night in Aberdeen," and a. series of scenes embodying Scottish humour was greatly enjoyed. The hall presented a very colourful scene, as everyone-pre-sent wore a bright tartan cap, and many of those taking part in the programme wore kilts. Assisting with the entertainment were:—Miss Phyllis Gribbin and Miss Lillian Kennedy (songs), Mr. Charles Prime' (humorous songs), Miss Jean Brown ('cello solo), Mr. Knight (humour). The accompanists were Mrs. C. Prime and Miss Elva Carr. Those present included: Mesdanies B. Baker, Arthur Roberts, S. Chapman, Harrv Wilkins, M. Hewson, C. R. De Lautour, Trevor Sparling, \V.
