ALLEGED OFFENCES
BANKRUPTCY ACT COMMITTAL OF ACCUSED SYDNEY, August 31 Iu the Bankruptcy Court, Sydney, Mr. Justice Lukin committed Hector George Thirkell for trial on three charges under the Bankruptcy Act, namely omission to keep books of account, material omissions from his statement of affairs and obtaining money by fraud. Tho charges arose out of Thirkell's former connection with a cabaret in Sydney and his ownership of land at Pahiatua and Hastings, New Zealand, concerning which he is alleged to have made false representations.
