TREATY WITH EGYPT
DOCUMENT INITIALLED ; ABOLITION OF MIXED COURTS LONDON, Anjrast 12 ~ A message from Alexandria states that the remaining clauses of the treaty between Britain and Egypt were initialled .to-day at a plenary meeting. Both delegations are very satisfied. The Egyptian Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, accepted the invitation of Britain to ! sign the treaty in London, and he and the Egyptian delegation will depart shortly. The British High Commissioner, Sir Miles Lampson, will come to London for the same purpose. The Cairo correspondent of the Times corrects a previous impression that Britain had agreed to the immediate abolition of capitulations. Instead these will be reviewed at an international conference, which Egypt will summon at the end of the year, when Britain * will morally support the eventual abolition of mixed courts, as well as fiscal and legislative capitulations. Nahas Pasha already has given a pledge that there will be no discrimination against foreigners.
