The toj> cattle price was £>lo, for a South Otago bullock, and the best sheep figure was 60s, for an Ellesinere pen sheep. VALUES AT CAMBRIDGE The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held its usual stock sale at Cambridge on Monday, when a medium yarding of sheep was penned, and sold at recent quotations. A fair entry of cow and heifer beef came forward, with competition keen at central yards rates. Store and boner cows were also penned in good numbers, realising recent quotations. Dairy cattle: A full yarding of dairy cattle came forward, including the two advertised herds. Competition for good quality cows and heifers close to profit was keen and a good sale resulted. There was a good yarding of store and weaner pigs. A keen demand existed and prices showed an increase on late rates. Sheep: Light wethers, 28s; prime hoggets, 255; store hoggets, 17s 7d to 19s: smaller, 15s to 15s Sd; empty store ewes, 15s 2d. PIGS AT EDCECUMBE [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE PUKE, Wednesday The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held its regular fortnightly sale at Edgecumbe on Monday, when there was a good attendance of buyers. The yarding comprised about 300 pigs, mostly stores, the quality of many lines being very good. A total clearance was effected, with an all-round improvement in values. Light to medium porkers made 29s to 335; large stores, 35s to 375; light to medium stores, 2ts to 325; slips, 16s to 21*; good weaners, 10s to 15s; other sorts, Gs to 9s Od; sows in pig, £4 2s 6d; sows and litter, £7.

HORSES AT MATAWHERO [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORNE, Wednesday At the first day of the horse fair at Matawhero yesterday there was a good attendance. A number of heavy unbroken horses from Mr. Haliday made from £35 10s to £39 10s. Among other heavy horses offered a line from Opou Station sold from £4O to J-17 lus and another from Messrs. Hutchinson Bros, realised £4O to £57 10s. Some 214-year heavy horses offered on behalf of other vendors made from £26 to £37. Medium-weight unbroken horses sold generally from £ls to £24 and good sorts of light and unbroken realised £4 to £7 15#, with weedy types arour.d £2.
