Transformed into a Persian market scene, the Amateur Operatic Hall looked unusually picturesque on Saturday night when the Auckland Athenian Club held its fortnightly social gathering. Aliss Edua Craig acted as hostess lor the occasion and there was a large attendance of members and friends. Items were given by Air. E. Newbury, Aliss Helen Harmon. Airs.
