VALEDICTORY TEA
MRS. JORDAN ENTERTAINED A morning tea in honour of Mrs. W. J. Jordan, of Onehunga, who, with her husband, will leave to-morrow for England, was held in the John Court tearooms on Saturday. The function was arranged by neighbours and friends, and in appreciation of the many services Mrs. Jordan had rendered to the community, the Mayoress of Onehunga, Mrs. J. Park, on behalf of those present, presented her with a bouquet and an umbrella. Among those present were: —Mrs. J. Park, the Rev. and Mrs. E. S. Harkness, Mr. W. J. Jordan, Mrs. F. C. Miss Gwen Jordan, who will accompany her parents to England, was the guest of honour .'it a party held in another part of the tearooms by several of her friends from the Epsom Grammar School. The long tables were charmingly arranged with flowering acacia and'tall stands of blue irises. On behalf of those present, Miss Flora Soar, the form prefect, presented Miss Jordan with several books inscribed with the donors' names and a bouquet in the school colours.
