WHANGAREI GATHERING
A pleasant afternoon was spent at the Balmoral tearooms, Bank Street, Whangarei, 1 fst week, when the Mayoress. Mrs. W. Jones, entertained in honour of Mrs. R. Semple, who was visiting Whangarei in company with her husband, the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works and Transport. Representatives of various women's organisations were present. The Mayoress welcomed Mrs. Semple, who expressed pleasure at meeting so many representatives of women's organisations who were doing such good work in their respective spheres. Included among those present were: — Mrs. Churches (Wellington), Mrs. J. G. Barclav, Mrs. Clayton Thorne, Mrs. J. N. Mr-Carroll, Mrs. G. S. B. Morrison, Mrs. \j. •!. Brake, Mrs. J. A. Inkster, Mrs. C. Clark, Mrs. Seddon Hills, Mrs. G. H. Morrish, Mrs. H. M. Foster, Mrs. P. J. O'Hara, Mrs. H. B. Foster, Miss E. Swayne.
