VEN. ERNEST SHARPE VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND LONDON, July 7 The Ven. f>nest Sharpe, Archdeacon of London and Canon of St. Paul's, will leave for New Zealand by the Rangitane on July 23. He will also visit Australia. Archdeacon Sharpe, who is the third son of a Hampstead vicar, was educated at Westminster School and Cambridge University. He was ordained in 1890 and received his first charge as vicar of Emanuel Church, West Hampstead, four years later. After a period in Manchester he became Rector_ of Holy Trinity. South Marylebone, in 1912. From 1919 to 1930 he was Vicar of Paddington and Rural Dean, and from 1920 to 1930 he was Prebendary of St. Paul's. He has been Archdeacon of London and Canon of St. Paul's since 1930 and he is also an honorary chaplain at St. Mary's and St. Dunstan's Hospitals.
