GUNS FOR BATTERY

UNIT IN HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Wednesday Two 60-poundor guns arrived in Hamilton this week from Auckland to complete the armament of the 2nd (Medium) Battery, which was recently re-established. The' battery is now equipped with four guns. Recruiting for the battery is proceeding satisfactorily, and tlin personnel now stands at 50. Jt is expected that tho full strength of 115 will be enrolled beforo the end of the year. Weekly parades are held, and annual practices will take place near llotorua in the summer.
