OBITUARY
MR, CHARLES BUSH The death has occurred in Wellington of Mr. Charles Bush, aged 56. Mr. Bush was born in Wanganui, but went to Wellington at an early age with his parents. In his youth he was a keen Rugby footballer, and in 1898 was a member of the Wellington representative team. About 1902 he had the distinction of representing three provinces in Rugby—Canterbury, Otogo and Southland. Mr. Bush waß also a keen cricketer. MB. JOHN McCRAE The death occurred on Monday of Mr. John McCrae, one of the oldest settlers of Papakura, at the age of 90 years. Born in West Kilbride, Scotland, he came with his parents to New Zealand in the ship Viola in 1860, lending at Auckland, and afterwards coming by cutter up the river to Clevedon. His father took a Crown land section of 10 acres at Papakura in Settlement Road, known as Keri Keri. Mr. McCrae worked on the railway when the line was being put through from Auckland to Papakura and from Papakura to Mercer. For a period he was employed on the Thames Goldfields, and in the hush at Tuakau. He afterward worked for neighbouring farmers in the Papakura district, where he had lived for 71 years. Mr. McCrae's wife died some years ago. H© is survived by a sister.
MR. SAVI!I> WILSON [I'ROM OUB OWN CORBKSPONDENT] MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday The death occurred at Morrinsville on Monday of Mr. David Wilson, aeed 65. Mr. Wilson was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, and came to New Zealand as a child. He was engaged in the storekeeping business in Wellington and Palmmton North and was tilso engaged in the Cook Islands trade /or some years. After being employed in Hamilton, he opened a business in Morrinsville four years ago. He became. a member of the Morrinsville Borough Council, and was a member of the Morrinsville Orphans' Club. Mr. Wilson was married twice. He is survived by his widow and four children. MRS. J. 0. DOVE The death has occurred in Auckland of Mrs. Blanche Mary Dove, wife of Mr. J. C. Dove, of Epsom. Mrs., Dove was a daughter of the late Hon. M. F. A. Canning, who was at one time very nctive in the political life of Western Australia, and who was intimately connected with the early history of that State. Her great uncle was George Canning. Prime Minister of England in the early years of last century, and a man of great influence in European politics. Mrs. Dove is survived by her husband, one son and one daughter. Her younger son was killed in France in 1918.
