PAKURANGA HUNT
EAST TAMAKI MEET The Pakuranga Hunt met at the East Tamaki Hall yesterday morning. The weather was beautifully fine and the ground was hard, but poor scents spoiled the day's sport. From the hall, the hunt moved into Mr. F. Wright's property and worked to the rear of the farm, where a good strong hare was put up. It led the hounds through the properties of Messrs. H. Phillips and J. Ross, crossing the stream into Mr. C. Koss' paddocks and along to the Flat Bush Church where the hounds checked for a while. Returning to Mr. C. Ross' farm, they picked up the scent again. Making another circle of the Ross properties, the hare led the hunt across the Flat Bush Road and toward tho hills, where it disappeared into the bush.
Crossing the properties of Messrs. K. Woods and R. Kemp, going across tile road and through .Mr. A. Sherry's farm, tlfe hunt put tip a new hare on Mr. C. Stubbing*' place. After a short run across Mr. C. Gillard's paddocks, it was lost close to the road. It was then decided that scents were too poor to carr.v on. Among the followers were the master, Mr. H.
