YESTERDAY'S SALES , RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of 3*esterday's transactions on the New Zealand Stock Exchanges and the yield at the quoted price. The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included. The yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption, and on 3i per cent loans is for interest alone, covering only the tax-free period.

THE MINING MARKET MOUNT MORGANS DECLINE MATAKIS LOSE GROUND A general weakening tendency marked operations in the mining market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Tho temporary gain in Mount Morgans was lost with sales at 15s 3d and 15s 2d, a full decline of 2d. In tho first transfer for about three weeks, Matakis again lost ground, dropping back lid to Is 6id- Declines were also made by Talisman Dubbos and Big Rivers. Closing quotations w.ere: —

ORIENT STEAM USE OF AIR SERVICES Legal sanction has been given to the Orient Steam Navigation Company, Limited, to alter its objects so as to include the establishment of air services. The company proposes to extend its objects by obtaining power to establish and maintain air transport services, and generally to carry on the business of carriers by air, and to manufacture, purchase, or otherwise acquire aircraft of any description.
