ENTOMBED IN MINE
NOVA SCOTIAN DRAMA '• ! '.'ii RESCUE AGAIN DELAYED FRESH CAVE-IN OCCURS (Received April 22. '5.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER. April '2l A message from Moose River, Nova Scotia, states that rescuers broke through to where Dr. E. D. Robertson and Mr. Alfred £cadding are entombed in an old gold mine. However, the rotted crib work ahead collapsed and blocked the passage, thus the rescue again. The two trapped men are weaker and show symptoms of hysteria and hallucinations. It is impossible to determine the extent of the new cave-in. Volunteers were called for after an all-night dogged battle to break through the solid rock by workers who became exhausted. Ten coalminers from Stellarton, all single, responded, and while they worked communication was maintained with the entombed men. „ The Minister of Mines, Mr. Dwyer, himself helped in the digging.
