KING WALKS TO OFFICE
UNNOTICED AMONG CROWD BIRTHDAY OF PRINCESS LONDON. April 91 King Edward, putting up his umbrella, walked almost unnoticed-through the rain from Buckingham Palace to the offices of the Duchy of Cornwall. This is the second time His Majesty has broken precedent by walking in London streets to an engagement. Gifts to Princess Elizabeth on her 10th birthday included a motor-car from her parents, electrically driven, streamlined, with all modem accessories and possessing a maximum speed of five miles an hour. "Uncle David" (the King") was not able to attend the birthday party, so Elizabeth spoke to him by telephone and sent him a slice of her birthday cake. The Princess Royal and her son, the Hon. Gerald Lasoslles, are suffering from measles.
