LARGE SUNSPOT GROUP

OBSERVATION REPORTED [BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION) WELLINGTON. Friday An extremely complicated croup of sunspots, situated in the Southern Hemisphere of the sun, west of the central meridian, has been observed by Mr G V Hudson, of Karori. I'he length of the group is about 150,000 miles, and the width of the largest spot about 40,000 miles. At |f\ast 11 distinct spots nre contained in the group, and an unusual number of small nuclei are present in most of the spots.
