ULSTER ASSOCIATION
SIXTH ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION OF OFFICERS Appreciation of the -work accomplished by thei Auckland Ulster Association during the past year was expressed by the president, Mr. T. J. Fleming, at the sixth annual meeting of the association. Reference was made to the death of King George V., and the meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect. Similar tributes were paid to the late Lord Carson, the late Earl Beatty and the late Sir Robert Baird, and to several members of the association who had died during the year. The secretary's report showed a net increase in membership of 82. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £l7, compared with a credit of £l2 the previous year.
Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. T. J. Fleming; vicepresidents, the Hon. J. Alexander, M.L.C., Archdeacon and Mrs. MacMurray, Messrs. I. Gray, T. E. Montgomery, W. J. Holdsworth, J. Dornan, J. C. Entrican,, D. K. Duncan, R. Martin, G. Johnston and W. J. Hutchinson; secretary, Mr. A. Rainey; assistant secretary, Miss F. Benson; treasurer, Mr. J. Dornan; auditor, Mi Lowry; pianist, Miss Gray; reporter, Mr. A. Rainey. During the evening the following contributed items:—Misses P. Cruickshanks, M. Cruickshanks and Clark, and Messrs. B. Boyd and Woodham. The next meeting of the association will take the form of a concert, the proceeds of which will be devoted to the Crippled Children's Fund.
