MORRINSVILLE BRANCH WORK OF YEAR REVIEWED [from our own correspondent] MOKRINSVILLE, Tuesday The annual meeting of the Morrinaville branch of the Returned Soldiers' - Association was the most enthusiastic yet held. There was exceptionally keen - competition for seats on the executive, there being 20 nominations for 10 seats. Officers were elected as follows: — •< President, Mr. E. C. N. Robinson; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. B. Easther and H. B. Drower; secretary, Mr. R. E. Scott; treasurer, Mr. R. B. Morton; auditor, Mr. C. A. Peat; committee, Messrs. W. McPherson, S. Bloomfield, E. Hitchman, L. Hayward, H. A. Munro, R. Gamble, N. Andersen, P. M. Robson and M. E. Barrowclough, and the Rev. A, A. Bensley. fi The balance-sheet showed that £45 had been distributed in the relief of distress among ex-esrvicemen, and other amounts had been spent in subsidising wages. The sum of £5 had ' been spent in providing Christmas gifts for the children of ex-servicemen who were in necessitous circumstances.
