Y.W.C.A. ACTIVITIES

GYMNASTIC DISPLAY To foster an interest in the health work which will be done at the Y.W.C.A. during the 1936 season, a demonstration evening was held in the gymnasium yesterday. A large number of parents and friends of the girls were present and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent exhibition. The programme included a series of rhythmical exercises, gymnastic exhibitions on the "horse, displays on the parallel bars and rings, fencing and recreational gymnasium, which included dancing, games and exercises.

The gymnastic display was given under the direction of Miss P. Phillipps, who was trained at the Liverpool College. The fencing display was in the charge of Miss M. Beale. Prior to the demonstration a brief talk was given by Miss E. Bonnet, general secretary of the Y.W.C.A.
