PUPUKE GOLF CLUB
A FAREWELL PARTY To farewell two of their most prominent Mrs. J. W. Williamson and Miss Louise Williamson, who are shortly leaving for England, the lady members of the Pupuke Golf Club held an enjoyable party. For many years Mrs. Williamson has been a member of the committee, arid Miss Williamson is the ladies' club champion. The captain, Miss Gladys Williams, presented Mrs. and Miss Williamson with bouquets and club buttons. Mrs. Williamson thanked the club on behalf of her daughter and herself. Luncheon was served in the clubhouse, the table having been attractively decorated with dahlias and asparagus fern. During th« morning a Canadian foursome was played, the winners being Mrs. G. F. A. Lewin and Mrs. H. M. Kenzington. * The committee comprised:—Mrs. B. Kissen, Mrs. J. Howie, Miss M. Parker (honorary secretary), Miss B. O'Neill, Miss E. Lorie, Miss M. Ross and Miss M. Cameron.
Among those present were: —Mrs. Phil Andrew, Mrs. H. Whitcombe, Mrs. Paul Thompson, Mrs. J. Hume, Mrs. T. B. Arthur, Mrs. A. Clark, Mrs. D. Mair, Mrs. A. Herbert, Mrs. T. Attwood, Mrs. M. Quick, Mrs. C. Randall, Mrs. A. Allan, Mrs. M. Fleming, Mrs. W. Houghton, Mrs. Eric Cox, Mrs. W. C. Beaumont, Mrs. E. Baxter, Mrs. F. Prosser, Mrs. H. Gray, Mrs. G. Christian, Mrs. J. C. Rennie, Mrs. E. Mills, Mrs. H. Bowden, Miss Kath Harty, Miss Madge Alison. Miss Ronnie Willis and Miss Beryl Gudgeon.
