CENTRAL WAIKATO CLUB [from our own correspondent! • CAMBRIDGE, Mondny The Central Waikato Dog Trials Club concluded its third annual contests on Saturday, when there was an attendance of over 400 spectators. Results:— Long Head.—Eraser Smith's Highland King, 42 points, 1; E. li. Sloane's Glen, 38. 2; R. Grantham's Glen, 3ti. 3. Short Head. Drive and Yard.—Fraser Smith's Highland King. 56 points. 1; E El. Sloune's Glen, 49 J, 2: H. Alloway's Bill, 45. 3. Huntaway, Ziz-Zag.—B. Ellis' Jock. 41 i points, 1; H. AHoway'B Moss, 39, 2: Eraser Smith's Toss, 324, 3. Special Awards.—Long Head Aggregate Cup, presented by the farmers of Cam bridge: Eraser Smith's Highland King (cup won outright). Short head, drive and yard, aggregate cup, presented by Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited: 13. Ellis' Queen 11. Huntuway, aggregate cup, presented by the business men of Cambridge: Fraser Smith's Toss. Farmers' Trading Company's cup for maiden dog scoring most points in any one event: B. Ellis' Jock. Mr. Griffin, of Gisborne, presented a pup by his North Island champion huntaway dog to the competitor outside the placegetters in the huntaway, who, in the opinion of the judge, showed the best generalship. This pup was won by Bea Brunskill, witn Tweed.
