SWIMMING
EVENTS AT TEPID BATHS FARMERS' TRADING COMPANY ANNUAL CARNIVAL DECIDED Tho seventh annual swimming carnival conducted by the staff of the Farmers' Trading Company, Limited, was held at the Tepid Baths last evening before a largo and enthusiastic attendance. Competition for tho Chamberlain Cup, which is donated to the department scoring tho most points, was extremely keen, the inter-depart-mental relays especially causing excitement. The trophy, held last year by Office with a total -of 52 points, was won by Hardware with 3.3 points. At the conclusion of tho carnival, the cup was presented to Mr. W. Burridge, representing the successful team, by Mr, A, A. Ross, chairman of directors of the company. Gold medals, awarded in both the ladies' and men's divisions for the highest number of individual points, were won by Miss G. Wynyard, eight points, and B. Carbury, T. Peacock and E. Tremain, who tiedf with six points.
