ANNUAL PICNIC
DAWSON PRINTING COMPANY Members of tho stuff of the Dowson Printing Company. Limited, held their annual picnic at Beachlands. There was a good attendance of families and friends, and the sporting and novelty events wero keenly contested. Sports results were:—(Apprentices' race: B. Brown. 1: 11. Hassett, 2. Ladies' handicap: Miss B. Horscroft,, i ; Miss L. Green, 2. Men's handicap: G. Whitmoro, 1; H. J. Lawson, 2. Visitors' races: Ladies, Miss C. Hubbert. 1; Miss Hassett, 2. Gentlemen :* Mr. J. Smith, IMr. Garden, 2. Married ladies: Mrs. Rowe. Married men: Mr. F. J. DawHon, jun. Ham and egg race: Miss D. Biggs and Mr. 11. J. Lawson. Threelegged race: Misa Willetts and B. Brown. Wheelbarrow race: Miss Willetts and B. Brown. Biscuit and whistle race: Miss A. Curgenven and Mr. 11. Baldwin. Treacle bun competition: D. Hutchison. Duck race: L. Carter. The prizes were presented by Mr. F. J. Dawson, sen., who thanked members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade for their attendance.
