PASCO E CUP SEMI-FINALS The semi-finals in the inter-house lawn tennis competition for tho Pascoe Cup wero played last evening. Following were the results, the names of players of first-men-tioned team taking precedencp;— New Zealand Railways v. Johns, Limited. —Jebb and Storey beat Ford and Chandler, 6—5 ( r—H ; Cochrane and Hoyto beat Johns and Green, G—3, o—l. Railways won by 2 matches to 0. Pont, Office v. Auckland Savings Bank.— Forrest and Carter beat Allen and Wellbourne, (>—o, 6—5: Anderson and Osborne heat Barrett and Harrison, 6—4, G—s. Post Office won by 2 matches to 0. Tho final will be played this evening, commencing at 7.45 o'clock. WHAKATANE'S SUCCESS [by telegraph —OWN correspondent] WHAKATANE. Tuesday Bv defeating tho Ruatoki lawn tennis team at Ruatoki during the week-end the Whakatane A team has won tho eastern zone competition and will play ofl with the winners of the western zone for tho Dunlop Shield, Whakatanft won by 13 matches to 1. . In the Watt Cup match between W.aimana and Taneatua Waimnmi won by 9 matches to 7.
