Widow of the late Mr. Solomon David Sassoon, and a near relative of Sir Philip Sassoon, Mrs. Sassoon will be missed by members of the Anglo-Indian' community in London, for whom she kept open house. . Although she was unassuming she • lived in semi-Oriental state. To her, hospitality was second nature, and she constantly entertained a large circle of friends until illness ended those gatherings.
