OBITUARY
MR. WILLIAM LOW The death of Mr. William Low, aged 61, has occurred at his residence at Papatoetoe. Born at Greenock, Scotland, Mr. Low came to the, Dominion over 36 years ago. He pursued his vocation at Hamilton and Pukekohe and retired from the service of the Kauri Timber Qompany at .Papatoetoe a few years ago. A keen member of the Presbyterian Church, Mr. Low was an elder at St. John's, Papatoetoe,"up to his death. He is survived bv his wife. MR. THOMAS FRY [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday The death has occurred in Hamilton of Mr. Thomas Fry, a. well-known settler of Maihiihi, Otor-ohanga, at the age of 82 years. Mr. Fry was born in England and came to Now Zealand as a young man. The family settled at Xgaroto. After farming a property there for some years Mr. Fry went into business in Auckland. Ho returned to the land, taking up property at Maihiihi. Mr. Fry took an active part in local polities. He is survived by a son and two daughters. MR. H. E. FLOWER [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] PAPAROA, Monday The death has occurred of -Mr. fL E. Flower, of Maungatnroto, in his 68th year. Mr. Flower had lived practically all his life in the district. H-' was a son of the late Mr. W. M. Flower, the head of one of the early pioneer families who settled the bushclad lands of Maungatnroto. Mr. v Flower was secretary and treasurer of the Congregational Church for many years and he was also a justice of the peace. He is survived by his wife and 'an adult, family of one son and two daughters, Mrs. Norman Leaf, of Matakolie, and Mrs. McLeod, of May* ngaturoto. * "ry'
