[BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON. Saturday It was announced to-day by the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister in charge of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, that Mr. T. Rigg, director of the Cawthron Institute, Nelson, had been appointed actingchairman of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research during the absence of Professor H. G. Denham.
