"FOURTH WAIKATOS"

FOUNDERS OF HAMILTON REUNION OF DESCENDANTS [from our own correspondent] X HAMILTON, Sunday A reunion of descendants of the 4th Waikato Regiment, the members of which founded Hamilton 72 years ago, will be held in Steele Park, Hamilton, next Saturday. The reunion will take the form of a sports meeting and a picnic, and opportunity will be given to old friends from all parts of the Auckland Province to renew acquaintances made in the early days of settlement in the Waikato.

The programme will include children's events, cycle and running races and a baby show. A cup will be presented to the largest family of descendants of the regiment assembled on the ground. During the day an iron plato, taken from one of the original gunboats will be placed on the sito where the first troops landed.
