RACING MOTORIST
NEW RECORDS SOUGHT ■ * CAPTAIN EYSTON'S PLANS (Received February 21. 7.45 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 20 Captain G. E. T. Eyston, the wellknown racing . motorist, who holds several world's records, hopes to create a, new record for cars with heavy oil engines in an attempt he is preparing to make on Pendine Sands, Carmarthenshire, at the beginning of next week. The 12-cylinder engine of his car Flying Spray is said to embody a number of new features, and its performance is expected to give valuable information bearing on the develop-" ment of aero engines, itsing noninflammable oil. : , Captain Eyston is out to beat the official "record of 100 miles an hour and the unofficial record held by the American driver Cummings.
