Philemup is a black gelding by Philamor from Cheloid and is trained by J. F. Tutchen. Quadroon is a black colt by Nigger Minstrel from Liaison and is trained by W. Stone. Pukeko, who is engaged in the Waikato Hack Cup to-day, is owned and trained by the Masterton trainer B. Burgess, and is a five-year-old gelding by Arausio from Defection, by Signor from Blemish, by Vanguard, hence a half-brother to' Retract.
