WINTER SPORTS

ICE HOCKEY CONTEST BRITAIN WINS CHAMPIONSHIP British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 19 Keen interest has been displayed in England in the ice hockey championships at Germisch Partenkirchen, Germany, which were finally decided on Sunday. Britain won the Olympic, world and European titles. The decisive match was played last week when Britain beat Canada, which never before had suffered defeat in these contests. Saturday's match between the United States and Britain, on which a running commentary was broadcast to the British Isles, ended in a pointless draw. In the final match Canada beat the United States, which therefore was robbed of the opportunity of further challenging Britain.
