■ FAMOUS PEAK DISTRICT PRESERVATION ASSURED' (Received February 20, 7.25 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 19 The preservation of the natural beauty of the famous Peak district in Derbyshire has been assured by a resolution passed by the Peak Joint Planning Committee, which has beeu approved by the Minister of Health, Sir Kingsley Wood. The planning scheme is to be prepared to cover 220,000 acres in the district, including Dovedale and other places frequented by lovers of Derbyshire, which will safeguard the area from now development involving unsuitable or unsightly buildings.
