BRIDGE EVENING
To raise funds for the building of a Plunket room, the president, Mrs. S. R. Welch, and the committee of the Ngaruawahia branch of the Plunket Society organised a bridge evening recently. Ten tables were engaged in play, the winners being:—Ladies: Mrs. S. Johnston; runner-up, Mrs. Caldwell; consolation, Mrs. Lightbourne. Men: Mr. S. J. Webb.
Those present were-. —Mrs. D. R. Welch, Mrs. G. 13. Isdale, Mrs. K. Hale, Mrs. A. Potter, Mrs. R. D. Duxfield, Mrs. K.S.Caldwell (Huutly), Mrs. W. Paterson, Mrs. C. E. Wilson. Mrs. F. Littleproud (Huntly), Mrs. H. J. Sampson, Mrs. R. McFarlano, Mrs. E. Fuller, Mrs. H. Dell, Mrs. E. Masters, Mrs. Lightbourne (Huntly), Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. H. D. Sampson, Mrs. W. McGruer, Mrs. S. Johnson, Mrs. J'. D. Joy, Miss E. Ensor, Miss I. Gerrard, Miss M. White, Miss E. Saulbrey, Miss E. Gerrard and Miss V. Edge.
