WOMEN'S DIVISION
Karaka. —At tho February meeting, which was held in conjunction with a group lecture, visitors were present from Drtiry, Paerata, Patumahoe and Papnkura. After the usual business was concluded, Miss Nor ah Clark, of Papakura, gave a travel talk, choosing as her subject a trip which she had taken around London at night. Tho roll-call was " a limerick," both members and visitors contributing. Items were rendered by Mrs. O'Connor and Miss Clark. Two competitions wero won by Mrs. 1). Wood and Miss Loamy. An iced calui was won by Miss Isobel Bryant, whilo Mrs. Hunt won d'oyleys. A bring and buy stall proved popular, as also did tho surprise packets made and donated by tho committee. Tho monthly competitions were judged by tho visitors and resulted as follow^ —Best three bottles of preserved fruit: Miss Costar, 1; Mrs. Lindesay, 2. Bowl of flowers: Mrs. Farnsworth, sen., 1; Mrs. G. Wood, 2.
Pukekoho East.—lt was decided at the January meeting that tho branch would not enter a court at the forthcoming "Franklin Show. Tho afternoon was of a social, character, opportunity being taken to farewell two members, Mrs. and Miss Benjamin. The latter was presented with an entreo dish as a wedding present, gratitude being expressed on behalf of tho members for the help they had both given tho branch. Duets were sung by tho Misses D. and V. King, and Mrs. Coutts and Miss Hall. A competition was won by Miss E. Hall.
