THE MANUKAU VACANCY MR. A. E. TRAYES SUCCESSFUL The by-election held yesterday to fill the vacancy on the Manukau County caused by the resignation of Mr. S. W. Richards, one of the Mangere Riding members, resulted in a victory for Mr. A. E. Trayes. Polling figures were:— * A E Trayes 375 W. Wakefield 211 Sir. Rickards resigned recently owing to his removal from the district. He had held a seat on the council since May, 1929. The other member representing the riding is Mr. S. W. House.
