INDIAN CRICKETERS
POSSIBLE VISIT NEXT YEAR DULEEPSINHJI'S INTEREST [BT TELEGRAPH —PHESS ASSOCIATION"] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday The New Zealand Cricket Council has received advice from Duleepsinhji, the famous Indian and English test cricketer, that the Maharaja of Nawanagar "will be delighted to bring an Indian team to New Zealand next year" for a short tour at his own expense. It is stated that the Maharaja and Duleepsinhji will both be members of the team, which will be "quite a good one" containing also perhaps an English professional engaged in Nawanagar. This information was received at a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council this evening, when it was decided to advise His Highness the Maharaja of Nawanagar that New Zealand cricketers would give a warm welcome to any Indian team visiting this country.
